We are very excited to announce the launch of the 18-07 book club! This will be a monthly review of our current favourite or debate inducing read, our recommended reads will be focused towards career development.

We are kicking off the first book club with a truly impressive read, we tore through it in a couple of days and would highly recommend reading, Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In. On reading it the general consensus that came through in our discussion was how motivated we felt to take charge of our own career. Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and the founder of LeanIn.Org., tackles contentious issues including gender bias in the workforce and balancing parenting alongside her demanding job (she was the first woman to serve on the Facebook Board). She is very candid about her time in the workforce and her personal life. Lean In is packed full of anecdotes and statistics that support her writing which is compelling and holds a powerful message; pushing women to realise and achieve their ambitions.
